As the battle for Bengal heats up, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has hit out at Union Minister Amit Shah, calling the senior BJP leader’s lunch at the house of a tribal party worker in Bankura district house a photo-op.
During her visit to Khatra in Bankura, Mamata Banerjee attacked Amit Shah over his visit to the area.
The Bengal CM alleged that Amit Shah did not eat the food prepared by the Tribal family and that meals were brought from outside. Mamata Banerjee said Amit Shah’s tour of Bankura was only a public show.

The incident occurred as Richard Wilbanks, 74, was walking his puppy Gunner - a Cavalier King Charles spaniel - by his backyard pond. "We were just out walking by the pond and it came out of the water like a missile. I never thought an alligator could be that fast. It was so quick," Richard told CNN.
The alligator dragged Gunner into the pond and Richard instantly jumped in to rescue his puppy. Richard wrestled with the alligator and forced it to open its jaws, and thereby, managed to save Gunner. However, he was hurt in the process.
"I just automatically jumped into the water," Richard said.
The video of the incident was posted on Facebook by a page called The Dark Side Of Nature, and it has gone viral on social media.
BJP's Tejasvi Surya likens Asaduddin Owaisi to Pakistan's Jinnah in GHMC poll campaign
Launching a scathing attack on AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, BJP's Tejasvi Surya compared him to Pakistan founder Mohd Ali Jinnah ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation polls on December 1.
He said that voting for Owaisi is the same as voting against India.
He said, "Asaduddin Owaisi speaks the language of rabid Islamism, separatism and extremism which Mohd Ali Jinnah was also speaking."
"Laughable that Akabaruddin and Asaduddin Owaisi are speaking of development. They haven't allowed development in old Hyderabad, the only thing they allowed is Rohingya Muslims. Every single vote to Owaisi is a vote against India & everything that India stands for," he added.
He said, "We don't want razzakars to come back in the power (Owaisi). If you vote for Owaisi here he becomes strong in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh,"
Hitting out at Telangana CM KCR, Surya said, "KCR wants to make Hyderabad Istanbul, the capital of Turkey - a 100 per cent Muslim country, and its president speaks against India. That's why they (TRS) are in alliance with AIMIM because they want Hyderabad of Pakistan."
